China Glaze Crackle Polish
I just saw this on my Facebook page and I thought I would pass it along... China Glaze Crackle Polish. The link is to a post on China Glaze's blog regarding their new, upcoming Crackle polish. I won't CP the entire blog post here, but they are coming out with 6 new crackle colors: Black Mesh (black crackle), Lightening Bolt (white crackle), Broken Hearted (pink crackle), Cracked Concrete (grey crackle), Crushed Candy (teal crackle) and Fault Line (purple crackle).
I have mixed emotions about this. On one hand, I think it's great. Lightening Bolt and Cracked Concrete sound amazing, as do they all, really. However, on the other hand, we are just ending a season where so many colors were duplicates, that this seems so forced. We already know that OPI is coming out with Black Shatter in January and there are a few smaller crackle polish brands floating around. In fact, I'm sure one, maybe two, more nail polish companies will come out with their own version crackle polish before it's all said and done. It's the matte top coat of 2011. KWIM?
I get wanting to keep up with trends, but to me, I would much prefer a company to stray away from trends than to just be a part of the herd.

wow- i totally agree and i personally don't want to wear chipped, crackle or busted nails anytime soon. i hope this FAD goes the way of other useless products and leave that for the teens/tweens. amen :)
agreed. argh! i was really into crackle polish..now i'm ...i need something new and unique. yes it was the year of the dupes
I guess that I'll disagree. :) Crackle polish has been a blast from my past. I had these things ten plus years ago and loved 'em, so it's great fun to play with them again. Especially now that I have grown up money. rofl
I'm excited about the great availability of China Glaze (where most of the crackle polishes thus far have been less easily attained) and all of the different colors that China Glaze will be putting out. In my everyday attire, I very much enjoy wearing colors that starkly contrast but still marry well together. Why shouldn't I love doing my nails with the same color philosophy?
Original idea at this point? No. Still likely to be welcomed by many? Yes. :)
My issue isn't with China Glaze introducing a like of matte polishes. In fact, I think several of them sound pretty awesome.
My issue is that crackle is likely to become the matte of 2011, with every company jumping on the bandwagon. Sometimes, it's nice to have a company make new trends rather than add to an existing one.
i don´t know If never tried Cp before but it looks pretty
:)
I'm very excited about China Glaze's crackle polishes!! I've been playing with the OPI Black shatter over the last two weeks and I think it would be awesome to have more colors to play with...black gets boring after a while! lol
I'm more and more excited about China Glaze's crackle polishes. I guess I was a bit grumpy when I wrote this. LOL.
Part of that reason is because I'm not totally satisfied with Black Shatter. I'm working on my post about it now, but suffice it to say that I'm not totally in love with it.
